- Open "Meeting planner", pick a date and time in one city and see what that moment is everywhere else.
What it does
Live clocks with seconds
Every city card updates each second and shows the date, so you can tell at a glance when it is already tomorrow somewhere else.
Difference from your time
Each card states how many hours and minutes the city is ahead of or behind your own time zone, including half-hour zones such as India.
Day and night
A sun or moon marks whether the city is in daytime or at night, which helps before you call or message someone.
Meeting planner
Pick a time in one city and see it in all of them, with bars that show working hours, early or late hours and night for every hour of the day.
Your cities are remembered
The list and the 12 or 24-hour choice stay in this browser, so the same clocks are waiting next time.
Good to know
The world clock covers about 140 major cities, each tied to its official time zone. Daylight saving time is applied by the browser from the current rules, so a city that changes its clocks in spring or autumn shows the right time and offset without any setting from you.
To find a good time for a call, set the meeting planner to the city where you are, choose the date and time, and look at the bars. Green hours are normal working hours, amber hours are early morning or late evening, and grey hours are night. Click any hour in a bar to move the meeting there. The "Copy summary" button puts the time in every city on your clipboard, ready to paste into an invitation.
Questions and answers
How do I add a city to the world clock?
Type its name in "Add a city", then click the match or press Enter. You can search in English or in the language of the page.
Does the clock handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The offset shown on each card is the one in force right now, so it changes when a city moves its clocks.
How is the time difference worked out?
It compares the city's current UTC offset with the offset of the time zone your device uses, and states it in hours and minutes ahead of or behind you.
Will my list of cities be saved?
Yes, in this browser only. Nothing is sent anywhere, and clearing site data removes the list.
Can I show the time in 12-hour format?
Yes. Choose "12-hour" under "Clock format". The choice is remembered for your next visit.
How does the meeting planner decide which hours are working hours?
It treats 9:00 to 17:59 as working hours, 7:00 to 8:59 and 18:00 to 21:59 as early or late, and the rest as night, using each city's local time.
