What it does

Good to know

A PDF only records which character sits where on the page; it has no idea of paragraphs, tables or line breaks. This tool looks at text size, line spacing and indents to rebuild paragraphs and headings, and gathers lines with wide gaps into tables. It works best for reports, letters and papers where the text is what matters.

Fonts, colors, multi-column layouts and text box positions are not copied exactly. If the layout matters, use Exact look, but then the text is part of a picture and can't be edited. When you need to rewrite a lot, convert with Editable and tidy fonts and spacing in Word.

Is PDF to Word conversion free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no page limit, though very long files take longer on slower devices.

Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?

Editable focuses on text, paragraphs, headings and tables, so fonts and placement can differ. Choose Exact look if the appearance must match.

Can it convert scanned PDFs?

Yes. Pages without a text layer are read with OCR. Recognition can make mistakes, so give the result a quick read in Word.

Can I convert to other formats?
