Files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Click "Choose a file" or drop the PDF you want to edit.
  2. In "Edit text", click the line you want to change and type the new wording.
  3. Use "Add text", "Cover" and "Add image" to add or hide content if needed.
  4. Click "Save PDF" and download the edited file.

What it does

  • Edit existing text

Click a line or table cell and the original is covered with the background color, with a text box in the same spot, size and color ready to rewrite.

  • Add text

Click anywhere to type, and pick the size, weight and color. Korean and Japanese work too.

  • Cover areas

Drag a box over wording or numbers you don't want; it is filled with the surrounding background color.

  • Add images

Place a stamp, signature or logo as PNG or JPG, drag to move it and pull the corner to resize.

  • Undo

Step back through changes with Undo or Ctrl+Z.

  • No upload

Editing happens in your browser and the PDF never goes to a server.

Good to know

PDF isn't built for changing text, so this tool covers the original with a background-colored box and writes the new text on top. The font can differ from the original, so it works best for short changes such as dates, amounts and names. Latin letters and numbers are written in the standard PDF font, so they stay searchable and copyable; Korean and Japanese text goes in as a sharp high-resolution picture.

Covering hides content but doesn't remove it: the original text is still in the file and can show up when someone copies or searches. To remove personal data for good, cover it, convert the pages with PDF to JPG and turn them back into a PDF with JPG to PDF.

Questions and answers

Can I edit PDF text for free?

Yes. There is no sign-up or install, and nothing is stamped on your file.

The new text uses a different font.

The fonts inside a PDF can't be reused, so a standard font is used. Size and color are matched to the original, and you can fine-tune the size from the menu.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

Scans have no text layer, so Edit text has nothing to pick up. Cover the old wording and use Add text to write the new one.

Is covered content deleted?

No, it is only hidden underneath. To delete it completely, cover it, convert the pages to images and make a PDF from them again.

Can I add a stamp or signature image?

Yes. Use Add image with a PNG or JPG; a PNG with a transparent background sits naturally on the page.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Tap a line to edit it and drag boxes and images to move them, though a larger screen is more comfortable.
