Fix the light, try a filter, crop, write on the picture and add a frame, all in one place. The file you opened stays untouched, and every step can be undone.

Add one photo to edit (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF or BMP).

or drop a file here

Files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Open a photo with "Choose a file" or drop it onto the page.
  2. Work through the tabs you need: "Adjust", "Filters", "Crop & rotate", "Text", "Draw" and "Frame".
  3. Press and hold the compare button to see the original, and use undo or "Reset all" to step back.
  4. Under "Save", pick a "Format" and a "Size", then click "Save image".
  5. Click "Download" to keep the edited copy.

What it does

  • Twelve adjustment sliders

Exposure, brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows, saturation, vibrance, warmth, tint, sharpness, vignette and blur each have their own slider.

  • Filters shown on your photo

Twelve presets, from Original and Mono to Film, Noir and Dramatic, appear as small previews of your own picture, and an intensity slider tones each one down.

  • Crop, rotate and straighten

Crop freely or to 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16 or 4:5, turn the photo by 90°, flip it, and straighten a tilted horizon by up to 45° either way.

  • Text boxes you can place anywhere

Add several text boxes, each with one of four font styles, outline, shadow and a background box. Drag them into place and use the round handles to resize or turn them.

  • Pen, highlighter and eraser

Draw or mark things up in any color and size. The eraser removes only your own strokes, never the photo underneath.

  • Frames and rounded corners

Add a border, round off the corners and put an outer margin around the picture. For PNG or WebP, the margin and corners can be transparent.

Good to know

Editing here is non-destructive: the file on your device never changes, so you can try things out freely. Undo and redo work with the buttons or with Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z, and "Reset all" takes everything back to the start. The zoom shows the real percentage and fits the photo again when you tap it; on a computer, Ctrl plus the mouse wheel zooms, and on a phone you can pinch with two fingers. Text and drawings stay attached to the picture when you rotate or flip it, so you can add them in any order.

The four font styles (Sans-serif, Serif, Monospace and Handwriting) use fonts already installed on your device, which means the same text can look a little different on a phone and on a computer. When you save, JPG suits photos you want to share, PNG keeps transparent corners, and WebP gives a small file; the quality slider applies to JPG and WebP. A longest side of 1920 or 1080 px keeps images light for messages and websites, while "Full size" keeps every pixel. The saved copy gets -edited added to its name, and camera details and GPS location are left out.

Questions and answers

How do I add text to a photo?

Open the "Text" tab and click "Add text". Type your words, choose a font, size and color, then drag the box into place; the round handles resize and turn it.

Does editing change my original photo?

No. The photo you opened is never modified. Your edits go into a new file that you download when you are happy with the result.

How do I straighten a crooked photo?

In "Crop & rotate", move the "Straighten" slider anywhere between −45° and 45°. The empty corners that appear are trimmed away, and the aspect ratio you chose is kept.

Why does my text look different on another device?

The font styles rely on fonts installed on the device you edit on, and each system comes with different ones. Once you save, the text is part of the picture and looks the same wherever you open it.

Can the frame have transparent corners?

Yes. In "Frame", switch on "Transparent margin and corners (PNG, WebP)" and save as PNG or WebP. In a JPG those areas turn white, because JPG has no transparency.

Which files can I edit?

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF (first frame), BMP and, where your browser supports it, AVIF. The edited photo can be saved as JPG, PNG or WebP.
