Rotate an image

Fix sideways photos, mirror a selfie or level a tilted horizon. Rotate one picture or a whole batch with a single click.

Add one or more images (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more).

or drop files here

Files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Select your pictures with "Choose files", or drag them onto the page.
  2. Use the buttons on each image, or the ones under "All images", to rotate left, rotate right or flip.
  3. For a crooked photo, set a "Custom angle" and pick an option under "Corners after turning".
  4. Click "Save rotated images", then "Download" or "Download all (ZIP)".

What it does

  • Quick 90° turns and flips

Every image card has rotate left, rotate right, flip horizontal and flip vertical buttons, plus a thumbnail that shows the result.

  • One click for the whole batch

The "All images" buttons apply the same turn or flip to every picture in the list at once.

  • Any angle you need

Turn the selected image anywhere from −180° to 180° with ±1° buttons, a number field and a grid, then click "Use this angle for all images" if the others need the same correction.

  • Two ways to handle corners

Under "Corners after turning", either enlarge the picture area so nothing is cut off and the new corners are filled, or choose "Crop to fit (no empty corners)" to trim them away and keep the original aspect ratio.

  • Transparent or colored fill

Fill the corners with transparency or a color of your choice. Transparent corners are saved as PNG, and WebP images stay WebP.

Good to know

A 90° or 180° turn fixes photos that show up sideways or upside down, and flipping horizontally mirrors a picture, which helps with selfies where writing appears back to front. Straightening is for small tilts, such as a horizon that slopes slightly or a document photographed at an angle. Turn on "Show grid" and nudge the picture with the ±1° buttons until a straight line in it runs parallel to the grid.

Turning by an angle that isn't a multiple of 90° leaves empty triangles in the corners. The expand option makes the picture area bigger, keeps every pixel of the photo and fills those triangles, which suits graphics on a plain or transparent background. "Crop to fit" trims the picture until no gaps remain, so the result has the original shape but loses a little at the edges. Saving is not lossless: JPG photos are encoded again at high quality, and camera data such as GPS location is not carried over. Each file gets -rotated added to its name.

Questions and answers

How do I rotate a photo 90 degrees?

Click rotate left or rotate right on the image card. Each click turns it by 90°, and the thumbnail shows the new direction before you save.

How do I mirror or flip an image?

Use "Flip horizontal" to mirror it from left to right, or "Flip vertical" to turn it upside down like a reflection in water.

Can I rotate many photos at once?

Yes. Add them all and use the buttons under "All images". You can still change single photos with their own buttons afterwards.

How do I straighten a crooked photo?

Select the photo and set a "Custom angle", for example −2°, with the number field or the ±1° buttons. Choose "Crop to fit (no empty corners)" if you don't want filled corners.

Is rotating lossless?

No. Each image is saved again, and JPG photos are re-encoded at high quality. Keep your originals if you need an untouched copy.

Why was my JPG saved as a PNG?

Transparent corners need a format that can store transparency, so a JPG with a transparent corner fill is saved as PNG. Choose "Color" under "Corner fill" to keep it as a JPG.
