How to use it
- To find a lunar date, enter the "Solar date" under "Solar → lunar". The lunar date appears right away, with the leap month shown when there is one.
- To go the other way, enter the "Year", "Month" and "Day" under "Lunar → solar", and tick "Leap month" if the month is a leap month.
- For a lunar birthday or memorial day, enter the lunar "Month" and "Day" under "A lunar birthday or memorial day over 10 years" to see its solar date in each of the next 10 years.
- Open "Seollal, Buddha's Birthday and Chuseok dates" to see the holiday dates for this year and the next two.

The lunar date comes with the sexagenary names of the year, month and day (세차, 월건 and 일진 in Korean) and the zodiac animal year, counted from Lunar New Year.

Enter a year, month and day and tick "Leap month" if needed. The tool says when a year has no such leap month or a month has no 30th day.

See the solar date of a lunar month and day for each of the next 10 years. If a year lacks the leap month you chose, the ordinary month is used.

Good to know
In the lunar calendar, months follow the moon, so a lunar date lands on a different solar date each year. That is why a lunar birthday, a memorial day or a holiday such as Seollal (Lunar New Year) or Chuseok moves around the solar calendar from year to year. Some lunar years also add a leap month, which is why the converter asks for it separately. Lunar months also differ in length, so if you enter day 30 and a month ends on day 29 in some year, the 10-year list uses day 29 for that year.
The Korean lunar calendar is computed for Korean time, so a few dates differ by a day from the Chinese calendar. Seollal in 2027, for example, falls on 7 February in Korea. The data come from KASI and cover 1890 to 2050. The holiday table shows the three-day Seollal and Chuseok holidays and Buddha's Birthday, but substitute holidays are not included.

Why might a date differ from a Chinese lunar calendar?
The Korean calendar is computed for Korean time, so a few dates differ by one day from the Chinese calendar. Seollal in 2027 is 7 February in Korea.
