How to use it
- Read the large D figure at the top: D-40 means 40 calendar days to go. Under it, the days, hours, minutes and seconds update live.
- To count to Christmas Eve, a family dinner or a flight, change the "Date" or fill in "Time (optional)". With the time left empty, the count runs to the start of the day.
- Click "Save to my list" to keep the countdown under "My events" on this device.
- Click "Copy share link" to send the same countdown to someone else, or use the full-screen button to put it on a TV or party screen.
Good to know
The page opens on the next 25 December and counts to the start of that day in local time, so the clock reaches zero when Christmas Day begins where you are. It follows your device's own clock and time zone, which means a friend abroad can see a different number of hours at the same moment.
Christmas has several deadlines of its own, and one countdown can cover each of them: the day the tree goes up, the last chance to order gifts, a trip home, a school concert. Change the "Event name" and "Date", save each one, and open any of them again from "My events". The "Quick start" buttons offer other dates such as "New Year" and "Black Friday".

Questions and answers
How many days are left until Christmas?
The large figure at the top shows it, and the numbers beneath break it down into days, hours, minutes and seconds. Both update on their own while the page is open.
When does the countdown reach zero?
At the start of 25 December on your device. For Christmas Eve, change the "Date" to 24 December, and add a "Time (optional)" if you want to count to a particular moment.
Why does a friend in another country see different numbers?
Each device counts with its own clock and time zone, so people in different time zones reach zero at different moments.
Can I count down to something other than Christmas?
Yes. Change the "Event name" and "Date", or tap another button under "Quick start", such as "New Year" or "Halloween".
Can I send the countdown to my family?
"Copy share link" copies a link that carries the event name, date and time. Whoever opens it sees the countdown without typing anything.
